Final LVEF and Change in LVEF from Baseline to Follow-Up Across all available randomized controlled trials, pooled analysis of final left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) showed that melatonin was associated with a numerically higher final LVEF than control, although the overall difference did not reach statistical significance (mean difference, 2.24 percentage points; 95% CI, −0.31 to 4.80; p = 0.08) ( Figure 1 ).
