In-hospital mortality was numerically lower in the ECMO-IABP group compared with ECMO alone both before and after propensity score matching; however, these differences did not reach statistical significance (22.7% vs. 45.7% before matching, p = 0.097; and 22.7% vs. 50.0% after matching, p = 0.116).
