In the cohort reported by Stratmann et al., despite overall good agreement (Pearson R = 0.93, p < 0.001) compared to the Technozym ELISA assay, the Acustar HemosIL assay showed a trend for lower estimation of ADAMTS13 activity in the intermediate-low activity range (ADAMTS13 activity 0–10%, median 7.2% (2.9–9.8) and 4.0% (1.5–7.0), respectively, p = 0.001; and 10–30%, median 22.0% (10.3–29.0) and 21.2% (7.2–26.5), respectively, p = 0.005), and this correlation was lost when ADAMTS13 activity was above 30% (R = 0.21, p = 0.57) ( 82 ).
