In a randomized trial, comprehensive geriatric care during hospitalization was associated with improved mobility and recovery of activities of daily living at 4 months, particularly among patients with CI(Level 1b), and showed a trend toward lower one-year mortality compared with standard orthopedic care ( 11 ).
