The presence of the T allele is the most frequently observed in variants of ABCB1 gene, in the case of aripiprazole it should be noted that the study was conducted with a monthly application of the drug using a long-acting injectable form, thus avoiding the participation of the transporter at the intestinal level and only evaluating at the P-gp of the blood-brain barrier, mentioning that the difference was not significant but a clear trend was observed and that one of the limitations was that they studied 72 patients [ 19 ].
