The prevalence of hypertension and gender distribution, on the other hand, were similar across groups and did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.194 and p = 0.554, respectively), indicating that sarcopenia in this cohort was more closely associated with aging and lifestyle variables than with sex or cardiometabolic comorbidity.
