Lonner and co-workers noted that polyaxial constructs were associated with better maintenance of thoracic kyphosis compared with monoaxial or hybrid constructs, which showed a trend toward kyphosis loss; this observation highlights that the effect of screw type may be parameter-specific (i.e., affecting rotation or sagittal contours more than coronal Cobb correction) [ 9 ].
