Specifically, among Gram negative isolates, the proportion of resistant strains, defined as carbapenem-resistant (CARBA-R) isolates or those harbouring extended spectrum β-lactamases (ESBL), was 32.8% (19/58) in the non-FAST period and 46.0% (29/63) in the FAST period, and this difference did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.136).
