In the pre-pandemic period, hyperuricemia was independently associated with higher odds of any cardiorenal complication (OR = 1.70, 95% CI: 1.27–2.29; P < 0.001), CKD (OR = 1.61, 95% CI: 1.16–2.24; P = 0.005), and heart failure (OR = 1.45, 95% CI: 1.02–2.06; P = 0.040), while the associations with stroke (OR = 1.20, 95% CI: 0.79–1.83; P = 0.395) and AF (OR = 1.63, 95% CI: 0.94–2.85; P = 0.081) did not reach statistical significance.
