After controlling for the confounding effects of gender and school, perceptions of physical activity ( β = −0.121, p < 0.001) and peer support ( β = 0.380, p < 0.001) continued to exert a significant positive predictive effect on physical activity levels, whilst the regression coefficient for parental support did not reach statistical significance ( p > 0.05) ( Table 6 ).
