In contrast, among CAP patients, ICU-acquired infection was associated with higher mortality in the adjusted analysis (OR 4.97, 95% CI 1.14–23.40, p = 0.033), while the unadjusted analysis showed a similar trend that did not reach statistical significance (OR 3.67, 95% CI 0.75–17.32, p = 0.058).
