When patients were stratified by sarcopenia status based on the skeletal muscle mass index (SMI <7.0 kg/m2 for men and <5.7 kg/m2 for women), the prognostic value of our profiling remained statistically significant within the non-sarcopenia subgroup ( online supplemental figure S1 ), although it did not reach statistical significance within the sarcopenia subgroup.
