Our study found that HbA1c—a summary measure of blood glucose levels over the preceding 3 months—was significantly associated with SDNN, HRV triangular index, and LF power at univariate analysis and tended towards significance along with HRV triangular index at multivariable analysis, suggesting a potentially significant biological association between HbA1c and HRV.
