When FLI was categorized into quartiles, participants in the third and highest quartiles exhibited a significantly elevated death risk compared with those in the lowest quartile (Q3: HR = 1.642, 95% CI 1.166–2.311; Q4: HR = 1.860, 95% CI 1.269–2.727), with a significant trend across increasing FLI categories ( P for trend < 0.001).
