Overall, chlorophyll content showed a trend of "low at seedling stage—high at flowering stage—stable at fruiting stage" with the progression of growth stages, and increased continuously with the increase of phosphorus level. γ-PGA significantly improved chlorophyll content throughout the whole growth period.
