Compared with the stable MHNW group, the adjusted hazard ratios for incident composite CVD were 1.43 (95% CI, 1.14–1.79) for stable MHOO, 2.04 (95% CI, 1.72–2.41) for persistently unhealthy, 1.57 (95% CI, 1.29–1.90) for deterioration, and 1.33 (95% CI, 1.07–1.65) for improvement, while the estimate for the weight-change group was directionally elevated but did not reach statistical significance (HR, 1.31; 95% CI, 0.97–1.75) (Table 2 ).
