Those studies did not measure change in disease activity over time, only at a single cross-sectional time point whilst on treatment, although the follow-up data in our study showed all ethnic groups experienced improving measures of disease activity (including both CHAQ and pain) over time; with the exception of children with Black ethnicity, for whom there was a trend towards improvement but it did not reach statistical significance.
