For both creams, however, there was a clear trend of decreasing drug mass recovered with the total experiment duration– that at 2 h uptake being very significantly different to that after 2 h of clearance (1-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s multiple comparisons test) - indicative of an unaccounted drug loss pathway believed to be volatilisation from the skin surface.
