Although this difference did not reach statistical significance in univariable analysis ( p = 0.324), multivariable analysis adjusted for age and sex showed that the co-occurrence of Ureaplasma spp. + G. vaginalis was independently inversely associated with HIV positivity (aOR = 0.31; 95% CI: 0.16–0.61; p < 0.001).
