Crucially, when they plotted the Henry’s constants for H 2 O versus CO 2 ( Figure A(b)), a clear trend emerged: MOFs featuring the A1 adsorbaphore, a site comprising two parallel aromatic rings separated by ∼ 7 Å( Figure A(c)), demonstrated significantly lower water affinity than those with open metal sites (A3) or metal–oxygen bridges (A2).
