Regarding comorbid conditions, bisphosphonate use was associated with lower complication risk in patients with T2DM (HR, 0.70; 95% CI, 0.52–0.93; P = 0.012) and RA (HR, 0.68; 95% CI, 0.51–0.90; P = 0.007), whereas the reduction in patients with COPD did not reach statistical significance (HR, 0.76; 95% CI, 0.55–1.05; P = 0.09) (Table 3 ).
