In the Cox regression analysis ( Fig 4 B), there was an apparent decrease in survival in the underweight group compared with the normal weight group, but this did not reach statistical significance after adjusting for age, race, marital status, smoking status, number of comorbidities, and FEV 1 (hazard ratio [HR], 2.10; 95% CI, 0.85-5.17).
