Notably, hepatocyte proliferation did not differ between uPA° and WT mice, but the liver to body weight ratio in uPA° mice showed a clear trend to increase over time (Figure 5 ); this was similar to the findings previously described in Plg-deficient mice due to the accumulation of fibrin in injured areas [ 6 , 13 ].
