Consistent with the UCSF results, when all three NFκB and AP-1 upregulated genes were combined to produce four subsets within each dataset, the resulting Kaplan-Meier curves showed a rank order correlation between increasingly worse outcome and number of high expressing genes (HHH > HHL > HLL > LLL); although these outcome differences did not quite reach statistical significance by Log Rank analysis, in each dataset those cases showing high expression of all three NFκB and AP-1 upregulated genes (HHH) exhibited median times to metastatic recurrence ≤ 5 years (data not shown).
