Nominally significant (two-tailed p < 0.05) associations between obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m 2 ) and the C/C were present in three samples: the Iceland cohort (OR = 1.29, 95% CI = 1.06–1.57, p = 0.0064), the Essen cohort (OR = 1.75, 95% CI = 1.15–2.68, p = 0.008), and in one of six exam cycles within the longitudinal data from the FHS cohorts ( Table 2 ).
