Significantly, however, three animals showed a complete disappearance of the cross-reaction 1046 DELAYED HYPERSENSITIVITY AND CARRIER PROTEIN to the monofunctional antigens, and a reduced, but quite significant residual reaction to the homologous difunctional antigen used for the original sensi- tization, suggesting that they had in part become sensitized by, and could re- spond to, the complete difunctional haptenic determinant.
