Among individuals with skin lesions, we found a significant association of CC16 with urinary As (β = −0.13, p = 0.01) and a marginally significant association of CC16 with CAI (β = −0.04, p = 0.06).
Our findings further suggest that the effect of As exposure on respiratory illness may be significant among nonsmokers, because we restricted the study to only never-smokers.
