The recently published results of the X-ACT trial showed a slightly significant advantage in terms of 3 years risk of relapse (HR=0.87, CI 0.75–1.00) and of death (HR=0.84, CI 0.69–1.01) for patients treated with adjuvant capecitabine with respect to those treated with standard 5FU-FA ( Twelves et al , 2005 ).
