For cases showing any degree of aneuploidy, there was a trend towards a higher proportion of aneuploid cells among good prognosis tumours but, again, this did not achieve significance.

The sentences
The presence of ductal (or, in one instance, lobular) carcinoma in situ was correlated weakly with good outcome ( P =0.03) and, while this association failed to reach statistical significance for either arm of the trial, on its own, it was stronger for the subgroup which had not received adjuvant tamoxifen.
