Although the mean survival calculated from the time of suspected recurrence (time of perfusion MRI) was longer for the patients scored as having tumor necrosis (13.4 ± 8.6 months) than for the tumor recurrence patients (8.4 ± 7.1 months), this difference did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.08), see Fig. 3 (left Kaplan–Meier curve).
