In the CHARM-Overall analysis, there was a 9% RRR in all-cause mortality that did not reach statistical significance initially (p=0.055; placebo 25% vs candesartan 23%), but became significant after adjustments for covariates (p=0.032; hazard ratio [HR] 0.9, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.82–0.99).
