Similar to rapamycin, LY294002 had no direct cytotoxic effects on ALL-SIL cells ( Figure 4C ) when added on its own but appeared to sensitise cells to the effects of DEX; however, the strength of this effect was more variable than for rapamycin and did not reach statistical significance.
