BRCA2 -associated tumors expressed higher levels of FGF1 compared to BRCA1 -associated tumors and BRCA1 -associated tumors had higher levels of stathmin/oncoprotein 18 compare to BRCA2-associate tumors, similar to the microarray data; but these differences however, did not reach statistical significance at the 5% level ( P = 0.76 and P = 0.28 respectively, data not shown).
