The results of this study build on those findings, providing evidence that in individuals without clinically evident diabetes who have detectable CAC the magnitude of the correlation between A1C and CAC score tended to be larger in whites than Asians, African Americans, and Hispanics; however, the analysis for interaction by race did not reach statistical significance.
