Genetic controls also showed a significant increase in the courtship index at elevated temperatures ( Fig 2, Ci ), but if anything, flies with lowered DA- and 5HT-neuron function showed a trend towards a decrease in the courtship index at the restrictive temperature (the value did not reach significance in this set of experiments).
