While Hb at the time of bone metastases detection was not significant when using the median value as cut-off, a strong trend for correlation between Hb ≤ 12.0 g/dL and short survival was found, p = 0.03 (when correcting for the fact that 2 tests were performed, i.e. median Hb and Hb ≤ 12.0 g/dL, the Bonferroni correction requires p ≤ 0.025).
