A trend was also evident for CCR5 staining on CD4+ T cells among the three groups (2.8%, 1.7% and 1.2% in the wild-type, heterozygous and homozygous mutant groups, respectively), which did not reach statistical significance (p = ns by Kruskal-Wallis test) but is consistent with the notion that, although overall very low, CCR5 expression on CD4+ T cells is also regulated by CCR5 genotype.
