Together the compiled data set showed that the effect of NBQX on frequency of the steady-state locomotor activity was not statistically significant when the control frequency was below 0.4 Hz (period 2.5 s) ( n = 9; Figure 3 C, left), but there was a highly significant decrease in the frequency when the initial locomotor frequency was high ( n = 9, p < 0.001; Figure 3 C, right).
