Our results failed to show significant differences in IL-7 induced Bcl-2 expression among the different groups, although, Ag stimulation of the PBMCs of the oldest donors showed a trend to a reduced expression of this molecule (from 0.11% ± 0.03 to 0.08% ± 0.02), which did not achieve statistical significance ( P > 0.05) in comparison with those from the youngest individuals (data not shown).
