In support of this result, both glucose-6-phosphatase (G6pase) and PEPCK expression levels were slightly higher in BAC-Retn mice than in Rko mice under clamp studies in acute endotoxemia, although the differences did not reach statistical significance ( Supplementary Fig. 1 B and C ).
