The difference in odds ratios for mild versus severe cognitive deficiency was not statistically significant for parents’ socio-economic status and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (p-value for heterogeneity in odds ratios = 0.4 and 0.2, respectively) but was almost significant for cerebral lesions and number of siblings (p-value for heterogeneity in odds ratios = 0.08 and 0.1, respectively) and significant for gestational age of 28 weeks or less and small for gestational age (p-value for heterogeneity in odds ratios = 0.01 and 0.007, respectively).
