Although the expression correlations of Siglec-3 and -9 failed to reach statistical significance ( Figures 7E–F ), Siglec-3 expressions appear to generally correlate with the sialyllactose inhibition with the exception of one donor, suggesting a potential contribution of Siglec-3 in certain situations of HIV-1 infection.
