In support of this perspective, we found significant correlations of the IHC membrane connectivity with the FISH results: HER2 copy number (r = 0.67), HER2/CEP17 ratio (r = 0.57), and mean CEP17 number per cell (r = 0.39), similar to the recent report of Vranek et al [ 34 ] (although the correlation to CEP17 did not reach statistical significance in this study of patients with the CEP17 polysomy).
