4.2.6 Haematological malignancies There was a 22% reduced blood cancer risk for overall statin use (AOR 0.78, 95%CI 0.71 to 0.86, P < 0.001) and a 24% reduction for patients with statin prescriptions of more than a year (AOR 0.76, 95%CI 0.68 to 0.85), with a significant trend for duration of use (P trend < .001).
