Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that after adjusting for confounding factors, compared with CC genotypes, CA had a significantly increased risk of lung cancer (adjusted odds ratios [OR] = 1.31; 95% CI = 1.01–1.68; P = 0.0436), the AA homozygote had a non-significantly increased risk of lung cancer (adjusted OR = 1.90; 95%CI = 0.80–4.53; P = 0.1438) because of its rare frequency, but there was a significant trend for an allele dose effect on risk of lung cancer ( P trend = 0.0158).
