The number of vasopressor-free days among survivors at day 28 (24.7 ± 3.2 versus 22.0 ± 7.0 days, difference -2.7, 95% CI -6.2 to 0.8, P = 0.12) and the number of renal failure-free days among survivors at day 28 (28 [28 to 28] versus 28 [26.5 to 28] days, P = 0.09) were higher in the heparin group but did not reach statistical significance.
