Upright faces showed a trend for somewhat higher activation compared to inverted faces (BOLD PSC, faces: 1.71 ± 0.1, inverted faces: 1.49 ± 0.1; see Supporting Material for further statistics on upright faces vs. inverted faces), while objects and houses activated this region to a much lesser extent.
