While this “fair and frugal” diet was designed to be nutritionally sufficient in terms of calorie and protein supply, it would require equitable distribution of food in order to avoid malnutrition and imply a quite significant reduction in terms of calorie supply as well as consumption of animal products in some parts of the world.
