This is consistent with a strong trend towards a greater degree of licking behaviour in 39,X Y* O mice (total licks: 4795 ± 1292 vs. 2005 ± 551, t [24.5] = −1.96, p = 0.06) and with these mice spending significantly more time in the drinking zone (124 ± 33 s vs. 37 ± 12 s, t [20.4] = −3.17, p < 0.005, Cohen's d = 0.98).
