This is quite significant given that other members of the clade occur in sub-Saharan Africa (Angola, Congo, Tanzania, Uganda) or in South America, particularly southern South America (e.g., Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru, although Pararhagadochir is more widespread, extending as far north as Colombia and Venezuela).
